This collection is inspired by one of the artworks Baiba created when only starting on her artistic adventure. Back then she was experimenting with creating unique imprints in her glass works from an old Latvian antique linen-craft tool. In a way Baiba was giving this old artefact a new lease of life.
This piece of artwork was the inspiration for her first and most recognised of collection CALM. Coincidently this artwork found its way in possession of Inese Jansone who is founder of INESE JANSONE DESIGN STUDIO. Inese approached Baiba with an idea if she could create a new unique collection inspired by the artwork created long time ago. Baiba agreed and Tactile Oasis Collection was born.
It is created by use of free blown glass technique which makes each vase’s form unique and special. The tactile and organically flowing glass creates silhouettes that are inviting for a dialogue where you can experience Oasis of sensations.
